Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her lead roles in a variety of television shows and for her enthralling performances in movies. Her fan base is large both on American as well as Canadian television. Emily started acting when she was 12 after visiting her older sister Katie in one of Katie's film productions. As Emily discovered her passion for acting, she took taking classes in acting and auditions. After some commercials, which were successful, she was quickly cast in the Canadian Kids' Horror TV series Are You terrified of Dark? which featured her in a single scene with any dialog. When she was 15, Emily got her biggest breakthrough when she became regular on the WB television program Glory Days. Even though the show was cancelled after only nine episodes, her performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who enlisted her on his TV show Everwood. Emily was an accomplished ballet dancer, as well as a photographer. Teen once named her one of the most talented actors who were under twenty. She was ranked at number 51 in Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
