Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born December 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 in the Olympic contest. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was only six years old. The first time she competed at the national junior championships of 1969 and finished 13th. She won the competition in 1970. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she bagged three gold medals. And in 1973, and '74 she was the all-around junior champ. In addition, she won four gold and one silver medals at her first international competition for seniors and was held in the year 1975. It was the first time she competed as a senior. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female in the history of sport to take off the parallel bars with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The actress began her career in the entertainment industry during her teenage years when she was an ice skating duo along with the sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a part of the entertainment business in her teens. She made her debut as a model skater with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show that were known as Ice Capades. The shows featured skating on ice and featured theatrical shows.
