Eve was born in London England the daughter of the actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Jack George and Jack George were her little brothers. She was born and educated in England and then in Los Angeles. She attended Bedales School before taking her A Levels at Westminster School London. In the year between the course, she was sent to the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Later on, St Catherine's College Oxford offered English as a subject. In Oxford, Eve appeared in several student productions including An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers which played in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Scenes from an Execution as well as The Colour of Justice. Eve is a regular on TV in BBC's The Rotters Club Poirot Hawking along with the film Stage Beauty (2005). Eve had a prominent role on the shows Starter for 10 (2006) as well as Big Nothing (2006) (both she as well as Simon Pegg had American accents). Her early 2006 was spent in India as she worked on a mini-series of drama known as Losing Gemma. The series revolves around backpackers. Eve has been on stage in two Trevor Nun productions. Her family is a multiracial family and was born to an Indo-British dad who is of British heritage Anthony Mitra, and an Irish-born mother Nora Downey. English actress Guyan Mitra has an elder sister and a younger one. Jason Mitra was her father. Her younger brother Guyan Mitra, is a renowned journalist who is included on Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
